16 Oct ITS Mechatronics Students Visit Fucine Umbre

A Glimpse into the Future of Manufacturing
On Thursday, October 9, Fucine Umbre had the pleasure of welcoming the 2024–2026 class of the ITS Mechatronics program from Terni to its headquarters. It was a day dedicated to discovery, innovation, and dialogue between the world of technical education and the manufacturing industry.
During the visit, the students attended a company presentation that outlined the history, values, and growth prospects of Fucine Umbre, followed by a guided tour of the production facilities. It was a valuable opportunity to experience firsthand the technological and organizational excellence that defines the company.
The event highlights the company’s commitment to empowering local youth and building concrete bridges between school and work.
The company’s COO, Alberto Domenella, emphasized the importance of a culture of “knowing how to do things well”: “It’s essential, for you, young people entering the world of manufacturing, to learn the skill of doing things well—a hallmark of our region.”
To conclude the meeting, CEO Antonio Alunni offered a heartfelt wish to the students: “I hope each of you finds a workplace where you can fully realize your potential.”
Fucine Umbre thus continues to invest in dialogue with the new generations, aware that the future of industry also depends on education, inspiration, and the meeting of experience with new energy.
